Natural Chocolate Chip Cookies

The following is a recipe from the kitchen of Nicci Waters (@nicciwd40) placed here for you to prepare, and share.

Natural Chocolate Chip Cookies

Makes two dozen cookies

Ingredients:

  • 2 sticks of unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup of raw sugar
  • 3/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups of unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup of whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 3 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon of sea salt

First, pre-heat an oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.

Next, combine all of the above ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Then, using a cookie scoop (or a Tablespoon and your index finger) place the dough on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until golden brown.

Note: using only whole wheat flour is possible. However, the cookies will increase in density the more whole wheat flour you choose to use; using unbleached all-purpose flour lightens the batter.
